Car sharing can be cost-effective in various situations and is primarily intended for shorter trips and shorter distances. Its usefulness depends on the nature of your needs, your current costs and your mobility options.
Car sharing may, for example, make sense if:
- you use it for commuting to work several times a week, on weekends, for errands or trips,
- you live in a city with good vehicle/location coverage and do not necessarily need your own vehicle,
- you want access to different types of vehicles according to your needs (city car, spacious vehicle, van),
- you want to avoid the hassle of parking, maintenance and administration,
- you occasionally need a second vehicle in addition to your own (e.g. for occasional errands instead of owning a second household vehicle or for transporting larger items).
You can calculate the estimated rental cost in advance in the Avant2Go mobile application by pressing the calculator icon next to the selected vehicle.
